Richard Watkins MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;-Richard Arnold Watkins, 63, Muscatine, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at his home. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Bethel Cemetery, Rochester. The Rev. Brenda Goodall will officiate. Pallbearers are Jeff Noll, Ricky Noll, Stephanie Honts, Sherina Honts, Chad Harris and Randy Kemper. A memorial has established at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Mr. Watkins was born on April 28, 1940, in Muscatine, the son of Clyde A. and Bernice Kurriger Watkins. He married Rosalee Fae Honts on June 9, 1962. She preceded him in death in 2000. He managed Sun Mart Foods for 19 years and also owned and operated Herky's for 19 years, ending in 2001. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and watching the Hawkeyes. Survivors include three sons, James, Douglas and John, all of Muscatine; three sisters-in-law, Jeanne Noll and her husband, Donald, and Kandy Honts and her husband, Chuck, all of Muscatine, and Sammantha Johnson and her husband, Mike, of Washington, Ind.; a brother, Danny Cadogan of Arkansas; and two sisters, Patricia Watkins and Judy Winslow and her husband, Hugh, all of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two half-sisters, Bonnie and Linda.
