Michelle Smith OAKVILLE, Iowa - Michelle Diane Smith, 30, Oakville, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, in a motor vehicle accident east of Wapello. Services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Church of the Nazarene, Wapello, 838 Isett St. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello is handling arrangements. The Rev. Brent Smith will officiate. Burial will be at the Edwards Cemetery in Oakville. The family will meet friends an hour before the funeral. A memorial fund has been established for her children. Michelle was born on Jan. 21, 1973, in Danville, Indiana, the daughter of Jesse and Rhonda Tanner Napier. She graduated from Danville High School and received her medical assistant training from the Professional Career Institute, Indianapolis, Ind. She was a homemaker and had attended the Church of the Nazarene, Wapello. She was a songwriter and musician and also loved to paint and write poetry. She was an excellent cook and fantastic mother. Survivors include her father, Jesse Napier of Danville; her mother, Rhonda Blaschkey of Mooresville, Ind.; a son, Cody Swanson of Oakville; a daughter, Kayla Swanson of Oakville; her companion, Kirk Swanson of Oakville; her mother-in-law, Ruby Swanson of Oakville; a sister, Beverly Napier of Oakville; a brother, Jesse Lee Napier of Danville, Ind.; and a stepbrother, Michael Lane of Indianapolis.
