Randy Gray Sr. OXFORD JUNCTION, Iowa - Randy Gray Sr., 47, of Oxford Junction, died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic. Graveside Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2004, at Island Cemetery. Reverend Sharon Phillips of the Jesus Mission will officiate. Burial will be in Island Cemetery, Fruitland. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of JoAnn Gray. Online condolences may be left for the Gray family at www.wittichfuneralhome.com. Mr. Gray was born on July 31, 1956, in Batesville, Mississippi, the son of J. E. and Betty Ferguson Gray. His first marriage was to Shelia Cozad on to Dec. 10, 1973, in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on August 16, 1998. He then married JoAnn Gray on May 22, 1999, in Oxford Junction. He worked for Food Waste Solutions as a diesel mechanic working on trucks. Randy enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, following his favorite drivers Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He enjoyed working on cars and caring for his pigs and chickens. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Gray of Oxford Junction; a son, Randy Gray Jr. and significant other, Brandi, of Fruitland; two daughters, Betty Jo Gray of Muscatine and Bridgette Danner and husband, Jason, of Illinois; a step-son, Robert Hahn of Clarence; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brittany, BreAnna, Jacob, Adam, Alexis, Allissa, Alexis and Isaac; his parents, J. E. and Betty Gray of Petersburg, Illinois; and two brothers, Michael Gray of Galliano, Louisiana and Ira Joe Gray of Lost Nation. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shelia.
