Adele Hancock MOLINE, Ill. #45;- Adele Hancock, 85, Moline, died Friday, March 19, 2004 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, Ill. Memorial services were Monday, March 22, at First Evangelical Free Church, Moline. A private family burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation was Sunday, March 21, at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd. 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Free Church or New Kingdom Trail Riders. Mrs. Hancock was born Sept. 26, 1918, in New Windsor, Ill., the daughter of Axel and Augusta Johnson Youngberg. She married Harley Hancock May 22, 1937, in Cambridge, Ill. She graduated from the Sterling School of Cosmetology and was a beautician in her own home for several years. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church, where she had taught Sunday school for many years. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Dora Rose and husband, Kenneth, of Moline; a son, Jim Hancock and wife, Diane, of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Jill Mather and husband, Nathan, of New York City, Erica Erickson and husband, Karl, of Mount Prospect, Ill., and Austin 'A.J.' Hancock of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Youngberg.
