Elma Lenz MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Elma M. Lenz, 79, Muscatine, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at the Colonial Manor Care Center, Columbus Junction. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Walnut Park Baptist Church, Muscatine. The Rev. Dennis Hakes will officiate. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, 2907 Mulberry Ave. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mrs. Lenz was born June 10, 1923, in Louisa County, the daughter of Herman A. and Beulah Owens Drinkall. She married Paul G. Lenz Aug. 1, 1947, in Muscatine. She member of Walnut Park Baptist Church for more than 50 years and was involved in many different capacities, including missions, teaching, choir and especially with the Barean class. She was a homemaker and worked for many years for the Singer Sewing Center, before its closing. She enjoyed sewing and craft making, she especially enjoyed making dolls and other items for her children and grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Michael Lenz and wife, Jane, of Nicholson, Pa.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Drinkall of Columbus Junction and Dale Drinkall of Muscatine; two sisters, Lorene Richardson of Bernalillo, N.M., and Isabelle Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
