Bonnie was born on January, 14, 1927 to Loyd and Mable (Andrews) Abrams. She graduated from Chapin High School in 1945 in small town Chapin, IA. Bonnie was married to Leonard Switzer and had three children while residing in Liscomb for most of their married life. After the passing of Leonard in 1988 she was married to Vinton Davis of rural Clemons where they lived on his family farm for a few years until he passed away after battling cancer. As time went on she met Fred McDougle on an Israel trip and they were united in marriage a short time later. They lived some moderate years in Liscomb until the passing of Fred in 2012. As time went on she moved to Conrad to the Oak Estates Senior Living Center. After a couple of years she moved to the Oakview Nursing Home where she lived out her final years.

Bonnie worked at the local telephone office in Liscomb in the early years. From that point she went to work as a CNA at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. As she worked she became an LPN. While being employed as a nurse she was offered the Director of Nursing position and managed the nursing department. During this time she achieved her administrative degree and became the administrator at Oakview where she finished her work career before retirement. Bonnie was a very active member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Union Iowa for many years serving the Lord. She loved her family and grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Bonnie in life was blessed with three children, sixteen grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.

"I know Bonnie is home with her spiritual family. Her earth family will miss her! I was thinking about her about a week before God Called her home. Bonnie had such a grate faith and she was always happy to quote a bible verse and share the word of God with you. Bonnie was full of love, kindness and compassion. I have great memories of going to her home in Conrad celebrating with family for holidays. The family tradition of playing cards, telling stories, laughing and great food lives on in each of us. May our memories give us all strength as we deal with this difficult time. God Bless "

"I am so sorry to hear of Bonnie's passing. Though we had not been close in recent years, she will always be a favored Aunt to me. My memories of the early years of marriage to my Uncle Leonard, my Mother's younger brother, were such happy ones. And the arrival of Debbie followed by the twins made it even more so. Such fun watching them grow up. The time spent with Bonnie will always be with me My thoughts are with the family remaining and to them I extend my love. Carol Bradley Burch "
