"To my childhood friends - I accidentally found your Mom's obituary when logging in to review my own mother's obituary. Jodi's face popped up first thing, and my heart sank. My deepest condolences to all of you! You had a wonderful mother and aunt. I met her when I was 14 years old and she became a profound source of comfort, strength, wisdom, and courage. She was my second mother and my professional mentor. I think of her often and have prayed for her often when her sickness set in. I will continue to pray for her and for all of you - that you are thankful SHE was your mother/aunt. I believe we were all privileged to know her, and I am grateful that God brought her into my life for practically my whole life. I know she is experiencing the joy of eternal love and peace now. The passing of a mother is so painful, but I wish peace of mind for all of you, and with time, the joy of having had her in your life..... God bless you, Jodi, my friend. I will see you again down the road. Love Martha"

"My sincere sympathy to Jodi's family. I had the privilege of working with Jodi for several years at WGHQ. She was a true friend and always there to help. Her secret for success on " Speak Out" was always to be genuine and to listen. She had a great rapport with the listeners. She will be missed. R.I.P. Jodi. Cameron Hendrix "

"Jody was a second mom to meet and helped me greatly throughout high school and up until her passing. I love her and always will. Never a bad word or meanful word came out of her mouth. She was so supportive, loving and extremely funny. She would tell me about her love/hubby Seamus and how she dealt with his early death. She was such an empathetic soul.
