In loving memory of

Joan Mary Gipprich
November 16, 1929 - February 6, 2021

Joan Mary Gipprich (nee: Krausmann), age 91, passed away February 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in Roseville, Michigan.  Joan was born on November 16, 1929 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to the late Joseph and the late Helena (nee: Klenner) Krausmann.

Joan graduated with a master's degree in library science from Marygrove College.  She married the love of her life Louis Andrew Gipprich on October 12, 1963.  She worked for many years at Algonac High School but her ultimate calling was to be a mother.  Joan and Louis decided to grow their love by making a family and adopting two beautiful children, who quickly became her pride and joy.  She enjoyed boat rides with her husband and children and going to Boblo Island.

She moved to Arizona with her husband in 1990.  She spent her 30 years there engrossed in making ceramics, playing bridge, and always had her favorite classic movies playing on the TV.  One of her favorite memories was being able to take a trip to Disney Land with her grandchildren.  She loved Arizona but ultimately ended up moving back to Michigan where she was able to spend more time with her beloved grandchildren, she was even able to see her oldest grandson get married in October.

Joan loved to start her day with coffee and donuts. She was a proud American and voted in every single election that she could even in 2020. Even in poor health she made sure she voted for President Trump, whom she passionately supported the last 4 years.

Joan was a woman that loved and cared for her family deeply. She will be greeted in heaven by her husband, Louis, and great-grandson, Liam.

Beloved wife of the late Louis Andrew Gipprich.  Cherished mother of Marciann (Curtis) Cole and Louis (Jill LoBosco) Gipprich.  Proud grandmother of Jesse (Marissa) Cole and Travis Cole.  Adoring great-grandmother of her late grandson Liam Michael Cole. Dear dog grandma of Smokey, Lester, and Louie.

Joan will be laid to rest with her husband at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.
