Patricia was born on February 3, 1933, in Muscatine, the daughter of George Koenigsaecker and Genevieve Henle Koenigsaecker Healey. She married John C. Grosjean on June 11, 1950, at St. Mathias Church, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2010.
She was a lifelong resident of Muscatine and dedicated her life to her family and friends. She cherished her role as a homemaker while supporting the family business, Grosjean's Home Oil, for over 50 years.
Patricia was passionate about celebrating others, whether it be birthdays, homecomings, anniversaries, or holidays, and she especially loved bringing the whole family together for Christmas. Her table was set for any occasion and her jar of M&Ms was always full. She loved playing bridge with both family and friends, and the card game often turned to marathon when her Uncle Robert came to town, usually ending with her traditional sauerkraut, spareribs, and dumplings. Patricia valued her friendships with her lifelong girlfriends and always made time for them. She was an active member of Saints Mary & Mathias Catholic Church and was a positive influence in her family's faith.
Those left to honor her memory include four children, Cynthia Garvin and husband Steven, of Muscatine, Leo C. Grosjean and wife Kathy, of Fort Myers, Florida, Janet Schmidt and husband Reinhard, of Short Hills, New Jersey, and Julie Long and husband Tim, of Buffalo, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Jonathon; and five siblings.

"I have just read all the accolades below written about Patty. Everyone who knew her loved her. I got to know Patty and Johnny through Johnny's step-mother, Grace Grosjean, and the rest is history. She is now with her beloved Johnny and all her relatives and friends. Her passing reminds me of a song I used to play at many funerals, "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." May she rest in peace."
"Dear Janet, Julie, Tim & Reinhart & Family, I am sad to hear of the loss of your mom/mother-in-law. I know how difficult this is and hope that you will be surrounded by the love of family and friends. May good memories bring you comfort at this time. Marlene Newman Etter "
"From the first time I met Patty, that smile of hers was etched in my mind.... a most genuine, kind soul. A true lady that was always so warm and welcoming. "I think of Pat, sitting in the recliner with Johnny across the room as we teens would "check in" . She was always cheerful and talkative, quick to service our every need and give advice on our activities, boys and whatever!!! Then later in life, I got to reminisce with Pat while visiting Mom at Sunnybrook. All my best to the Grosjean gang. Joan "
"Cindy, Janet, Julie, and Leo and families: We are sending you our deepest sympathy. "

"I was at a Miller or Minder Wedding Reception at Holiday Inn. I was going down elevator with Patty and other family. Wonder why, Johnny was sitting in chair by elevator. I just assumed that Patty forgot gift in car, like I. Those who know. I?m fast. So, I was back at reception and here Johnny was still in that chair. Shortly, elevator door opens. Patty retrieves Johnny to go home. My thoughts and prayers with those most closest and dear to Patty. She was a great woman. If need anything, please let me know. ??"
"I remember Pat and Johnny from our West Hill neighborhood. I always admired how fashionable Pat was where ever she went. Pat and Johnny were friends of our family from church and from the Elks Club dances. God bless your family and please accept my deepest condolence. . "
