Betty Haakenson-Mount
October 26, 1929 - February 11, 2021

Betty A. Haakenson- Mount, age 91, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away February 11, 2021 at the Homestead in Rochester, Minnesota.

Betty was born October 26, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Allen and Mary (Jones) Jenkins.  She graduated from East High School, Des Moines, Iowa in 1947.  Betty was united in marriage to Vernon Haakenson on April 25, 1948.  In 1962, they made Rochester their home.  Betty and Vernon co-founded Hawk and Sons in 1971.  She managed the office until their retirement in 1986.  After her husband's death in 1994, Betty resided in Mesa AZ.  She later returned to Rochester, MN to be closer to family.  She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Jerry) Knudson of Greencastle, IN; two sons, Dennis (Linda) Haakenson of Pine Island, MN and Dana (Sue) Haakenson of Pine Island, MN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; and brother, Robert Jenkins.

A private family graveside service will be held in the spring at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester, Minnesota.  Memorials may be given to Season's Hospice.
