Betty Lou Eberhart
January 6, 1928 - February 10, 2021

Betty Louise Williams Eberhart, aged 93, passed away peacefully in her home on February 10, 2021 surrounded by loving family. She was born January 6, 1928 in Salladasburg, PA. Betty Lou was the daughter of Roy and Ruth Peterman, who preceded her in death.

Betty Lou was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Robert H. Williams, M.D. who died in an automobile accident in 1989. She married Richard F. Eberhart in 1991, who died in 2015 after 25 years of marriage. 

Betty Lou graduated from Williamsport High School in 1945 and Bucknell University in 1949, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and the German, Education and Honor Societies. 

Betty Lou served on many volunteer boards and committees. She was President of the Williamsport Medical Auxiliary and chairman of the committee to start a community kindergarten at Pine Street Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and served on the Board of Trustees. Betty Lou's other volunteer service included the School of Hope, Florence Crittenton Home, The Divine Providence Hospital Auxiliary Board, The Salvation Army Advisory Board and she was president of the Parent Teacher Organization at Sheridan School. 

She was a member of the Ross Club, Williamsport Country Club and Woman's Club.

Betty Lou is survived by her three daughters: Emily Jones (Steve); Amy Williams, M.D. (Mark Larson, M.D.); and Vivien Williams (David Midthun, M.D.). She has four grandchildren, Eliza Larson, Hanna Larson, Edward (Ted) Midthun and William Midthun. 

In keeping with Betty Lou's wishes, there will be a private family funeral and burial. Memorials may be directed to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center.
