August 20, 1946 - September 9, 2020

LeRoy Ratcliff

DATE OF BIRTH: August 20, 1946

DATE OF DEATH: September 9, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of LeRoy Ratcliff announces his passing, after a lengthy battle of strokes and dementia.

He was predeceased by his parents: Mary Lue Dockery Agapitos, Jr. Ratcliff, and raised by James A. Agapitos (whom he dearly loved and respected). Also, his sister: Crisula Agapitos Hug.

LeRoy is survived by his loving wife: Carol Ann Ratiu Ratcliff.

Children: Paul LeRoy (Stacy), Brian Matthew, Nicholas Allen (Marie).

Grandchildren: Danielle, Joshua, Elena, Jaeda, and Benjamin Lee.

Siblings: James Franklin, Sarah Combs, and James Agapitos, Jr.

LeRoy is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

LeRoy loved and missed his family as he didn't get to see them as often as he wanted to, due to distance and Covid. He often stated he wanted his 57 chevy back (he sold it when he was 20). He wanted his curly and wavy hair back!!!

He will be greatly missed at all family gatherings. Whenever you get a chance to drink a Frappe or cast a line, think of LeRoy excitedly waiting to see what you catch. LeRoy has left a trail of broken hearts from Georgia to Michigan but we will be seeing him again in Glory, free from pain and suffering, with all the hair he desires.

Service officiated by: Pastor Michael Duke (limited attendance due to Covid)

"We all feel sad to be spending our days without having Uncle Lee involved. This spring will be hard to be on the patio without thinking about the BBQ's and festivities he has always been apart of and how he would crack us up! He has always been there for me. I was honored to be his niece. "
