"Two of my favorite people to visit in Rochester were Liz and her sister Kate! They were always full of smiles, stories, and laughter. I had the great pleasure of touring Norway with them on a Vesterheim Christmas traditions tour that I led in 2004--and have called them dear friends ever since!! Please know that your family is in my prayers!! "

"Dear Tom and family -- After Liz moved from the suburban Chicago area back to Rochester, we only corresponded at Christmas. She invited me to visit her and your aunt, but I never went. Liz was a delightful person and I thoroughly enjoyed knowing her. Since your mom knew that you and I met for dinner several times when you worked in Cincinnati, she always kept me up-to-date on your life. So sad at her passing but glad to hear she went peacefully. "What joy this beautiful lady brought into people's lives! We sincerely enjoyed her "book reviews" and movie recommendations, and we will miss her sense of humor. May your good memories sustain you as you grieve."

"Dear Tom and Family: Very sorry to learn about Liz's passing in this mornings Daily Herald. Liz was a mentor and friend to each of us librarians in High School District 214, and a friend and helper to the many students she served. She will be missed by many. Esther Perica"
