Alice Noll Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, St. Mary Church, 417 Green St. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. today, with an 8 p.m. prayer service, Jeffrey S. Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, 114 W. Fourth St. MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Alice W. Noll, 89, Muscatine, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2004, at her home. The Rev. Jason Crossen will officiate the services. Casket bearers are Matt Johnson, Greg Noll, Garren Noll, Andy Noll, Sarah Noll and Dominic Noll. Honorary casket bearers are Joseph Noll, Bernard Noll, Richard Noll, David Noll, Mark Noll and Teddy Noll. Burial will be at St. Malachy Cemetery, Ardon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Malachy Preservation Society. Mrs. Noll was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Seventy-Six Township, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Nolan Furlong. She married Theodore J. Noll Dec. 28, 1939, at St. Malachy Church, Ardon. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband. She loved to cook and bake. She was the 1939 champion cherry pie baker. She also loved raising her chickens. 'Alice, Aunt Alice, Grandma, Great-Grandma, The Egg Lady, champion pie and cake baker, 4-H leader, poll worker, census taker and most affectionately, Mom. She gave it her all.' She was a member of Catholic Daughters and St. Malachy Rosary Society and was a 4-H leader. Survivors include a daughter, Rosalie Johnson of Des Plaines, Ill.; four sons, Richard and wife Janice of Letts, Joseph and wife Janet of Dubuque, Bernard and wife Rhonda of Letts and David and wife Beth of Deer Park, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Margaret Smith, Matt Johnson, Mary Mills, Rebecca Reinert, Rachel Schueller, Andy Noll, Sarah Noll, Dominic Noll, Greg Noll, Garren Noll, Mark Noll and Theodore E. 'Teddy' Noll; seven great-grandchildren, Meghan, Ryan and Donovan Smith, Johnie and Maggie Mills, Erin Johnson and Olivia Reinert; a brother, Maurice Furlong of Letts; and three sisters-in-law, Frances Furlong, Genevieve Furlong and June Willroth. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Monica; and three brothers, James, Edward and Leo.
