"I first met Kevin at the Coopersville Farm Jam when he started coming with Buzz. He quickly became very popular there just as he did when he began coming to Cowboy Jim's. I think people have always recognized that in addition to his musical talents, Kevin was a genuinely nice person. He was kind, modest, willing to back up anyone who asked and always had a smile for everyone. His success in beating that first round of surgery was amazing. He threw himself into doing the research and following the guidelines for dealing with his condition. Kevin loved playing music and displayed such joy the first time he was able to come back to the jam. We were all blessed to have him with us for a couple more years. I feel fortunate to have had him as a friend and am so glad Diane videotaped some of the songs we did together. He will be sorely missed. My sympathy goes out to his family."

Kevin Paul Grimard, age 69, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was born in Muskegon, MI on June 28, 1951 to Wilson & Bernice (Pitts) Grimard and graduated from Reeths Puffer High School. He married the former Judi Spier in 1974 and was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Grimard had been employed as a shipping supervisor at Shaw Walker for 27 years before becoming a postman for the US Postal Service. In Kevin's younger years he was a guitar player in the band Night Airs and Up Beats and always enjoyed hunting. He loved spending time with his dog Missy which included being his co-pilot on the four-wheeler.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Wilson and Bernice Grimard.
