Sheila Palczewski wrote on Mar 8, 2021:

"I was heartbroken to hear of Cindy?s passing, she was a kind and generous friend, and so much fun. 41 years ago today, my Iowa State roommates, Cindy, and others conspired to surprise me with a 19th bday party in my dorm. And boy was I surprised ... to find classmates, lab partners, acquaintances, and all other sorts that they?d invited to help celebrate, in my room. It was THE best! I remember it every year, and especially this year, our 60th. My sympathies to the Dittmer and Daft families, and all who were touched by her warmth, humor and kindness. Sheila Behrens Palczewski Defiance, OH"
