Scott Holze
November 11, 1958 - March 18, 2021

Scott Holze, 62, of Sheffield, passed away Thursday at the MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City, Iowa. He was born November 11, 1958, in Hampton, Iowa, to Richard William and Margaret "Peggy" Fielding Holze.

Scott graduated from Hampton High School and attended North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City. He served his country in the United States Navy. Scott was united in marriage to Connie Hegarty on May 26, 1990, in Sheffield, Iowa.

Scott worked at Seabee Corporation, Deckers, and Stock Trucking. He enjoyed guns and target shooting, fishing, his dogs, and feeding the birds.

Scott is survived by his wife Connie of Sheffield, son Storm (Sara) Holze of Aredale, step-daughters Tallie (Jeff) Kehm of Mason City, Brandy (Todd) Franke of Dumont, step-son Beau Carlson of Hampton, grandchildren Brantley, Brezlynn, and Huxley Holze, step-grandchildren Gunner, Sawyer, and Spencer Kehm, Leighcen, Landon, and Louden Franke, Blayke, Ashtyn, Brendyn, Addasyn, Bostyn, and Emilie Carlsen, sister Lisa Lynn (Chuck) Smedra of Longmont, Colorado, sister Laurie Ann (Randy) of Florida, sister Linda Jo (Cory) Stewart of Waukee.

He was preceded in death by his parents.


Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.

""scotty" was a good man with a heart bigger than texas, no matter what went wrong he would come up with a joke to make you feel better and laugh, if you needed anything, he was there, I'll grin every time I see a maple long john as I remember the smile on his face when I would stop at the house and bring him a box of them, I'm sure he will find a "secret" fishing hole up there.
