Alice Rose Lex
April 24, 1934 - March 18, 2021

Alice Rose Lex, of Antigo, died Thursday, March 18, 2021, at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 86 years old. She was born on April 24, 1934, in Birnamwood, a daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Rank) Korbisch. She married George Lex on October 1, 1952, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2008.

She was a graduate of Birnamwood High School.

Alice and her husband owned and operated the Lex homestead dairy farm and Lex Trucking Company, Inc.

Her faith was very important to her, she was a member of St. John Catholic Church and participated in prayer circle. She volunteered for C.A.R.R. for many years.

Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who cherished time spent with her family. She also enjoyed camping, gardening, and her many pets over the years, most recently the companionship of Cody her yorkie.

Survivors include six daughters, Donna Hance of Wittenberg, Cindy (special friend Ken) Evans of Oconto, Geri (Dale) Hamilton of Birnamwood, Jeanne (Pat) Zalewski of Antigo, Vicki (David) Anunson of Waunakee, and Carrie (Ryan) Anderson of Andover, MN; two sons, Tom (special friend Donna) Lex of Birnamwood and Paul (Mikki) Lex of Antigo; 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Dolly Lex of Antigo; two sisters, Rosella Toney of St. Paul, MN and Katherine Resch of Antigo; two brothers, Charles Korbisch of Antigo and William (Pearl) Korbisch of Charleston, SC; a brother-in-law, Harry Fronek of Antigo; and sister-in-law, Eunice (Lex) Duffek of White Bear Lake, MN.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lex; four sisters, Ann Martis, Caroline Fronek, Barbara Korbisch, and Marcella Lenzner; two brothers, Joe Korbisch and Frank Korbisch; and two sons-in-law, Tom Hance, and John Evans.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Aniwa. Visitation will be Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
