"Hollee, I apologize for being so late with this. We were on vacation, and I did not find out until I returned. My thoughts and condolences go out to you and your family during these difficult and tough times. Hollee, you are one of the toughest and strongest people that I have ever know. Those traits will help you in going forward with your life. I hope that soon you are able to smile with fond memories of the past. Take care of yourself, Rob Felegy"

"Dear Family: I didn't know Derrik until I watched his tribute/keepsake presentation. I know him now. Very well it feels. He was also a gentle soul and a beautiful man. His love for animals and the love of his family is profound! I fell in love with him during the video :) What an amazing life he lived in his 30 years. He didn't miss a beat and what an awesome thought that must be for his family. He lived to the fullest. He's not far away now, he's just outside the five senses. He's watching you and is sorry for your pain. I promise. I'm a complete stranger and my heart bleeds for his family, girlfriend, and dog. I wish I could do or say something to bring peace. What I can say is be proud. He was a good good man. I now feel love the whole family. Deeply. Now take your time to grieve. Please practice self care and compassion for yourselves. He would want nothing more. "
