Clifton Baldus, 77, of Randall, Iowa, passed away at his home on March 21, 2021. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa. A graveside service will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Parish Cemetery, 2347 150th Street, Ames, Iowa. Masks and social distancing are required due to the Covid-19 guidelines.

Cliff was born on December 29, 1943 in Ames, Iowa to Theodore and Eva (Jensen) Baldus. He served his country by enlisting in the Army and was deployed to Vietnam. There, he was a part of the construction crew,
rebuilding roads.

After he came home from Vietnam, Cliff was hired as a cement finisher for Stenberg Concrete Construction and worked there for 35 years before retiring. He had a few health issues that kept him home bound, but he found enjoyment out of mowing his and the neighbor's lawn, constructing model cars and watching his
favorite show, CSI.

Left to cherish Cliff's memory is his daughters, Sherry and Shelly; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Jan Pulver. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dodie and Mary; brothers, Larry and Raymond; and special fur friend, Maui.
