Charles Edward Korbisch, of Antigo, died Monday, March 22, 2021, at Evergreen Terrace under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was 84 years old. He was born on April 22, 1936, in Birnamwood, a son of Joseph and Barbara (Rank) Korbisch.
Mr. Korbisch worked on the family farm in his early career. He then worked in Real Estate Insurance, and various business ventures before his love of the outdoors called him to work in the woods. In addition to logging, he enjoyed spending time with his children, operating his Christmas tree and cedar post businesses. He cherished donating hundreds of Christmas trees to the less fortunate in the Milwaukee area.
Charlie was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo and was very active in the Knights of Columbus holding various posts including Grand Knight and District Deputy of the Monsignor Conrad Saile Council 1002, and as Faithful Navigator of the Monsignor Conrad Saile Assembly 1214. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Aniwa, WI.
He enjoyed attending Mass daily, volunteering at the Knights of Columbus Hall, and for Meals on Wheels. Charlie loved traveling, polka dancing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include four sons, Christopher Korbisch (Katrina Roth) of Lonsdale, MN, Clark (Patty) Korbisch of Arvada CO, Conrad (Lisa) Korbisch of Colorado Springs, CO, Corey (Maggie) Korbisch of Collegeville, PA and a daughter, Rebecca Stimac of Antigo; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosella Toney of St. Paul, MN and Katherine Resch of Antigo; a brother, William (Pearl) Korbisch of Charleston, S.C.; brother-in-law, Harry Fronek of Antigo; his former wife, Rosemary of Milwaukee; and longtime friend, Mildred "Mickey" Copet of Hortonville.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Ann Martis, Barbara Korbisch, Caroline Fronek, Marcella Lenzner, and Alice Lex; and two brothers, Joe and Frank Korbisch.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 4 at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Reverend Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in the Aniwa Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church in Hoffmann Hall.

"Charlie will be long remembered by the staff of Hands with Heart - He was a kind, funny man who loved to have the company and assistance of the care team, even if he wasn't quite sure he needed us when we started. He came to love the girls for all of the help and support and we were honored to have had the time with him that we did. He was such a faithful man and he would always talk about going home to be with the Lord... his wish has come true, and I HOPE and pray that he is a peace and am grateful that he will be celebrating this Easter Season with the LORD!
