Miranda Suzanne Squires, 42, passed away March 24, 2021, at her home in Boone, Iowa.
Miranda was born on June 4, 1978, in Winfield, Illinois, to David and Mary Ann Squires. She attended Sycamore High School in Sycamore, Illinois, and eventually graduated from Adel-Desoto-Minburn High School in Adel, Iowa, in 1996. She continued her education and graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 with a degree in sociology.
Miranda was a very talented individual who loved life to the fullest. She was a classically trained vocalist as a child and was an Iowa All-State vocal performer. Miranda continued this training as a minor at Iowa State. She was in many musicals and enjoyed performing. As a trained social worker, Miranda used her skills to help those who were in greatest need. She had a big heart for people in general. Miranda found great joy in friends and family, but found her greatest joy in her dog, Cy.
Miranda was preceded in death by her father, David Squires. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Squires; her sister, Kelley Squires; her brother, Stephen Squires and his wife Melissa; and her nieces Hannah and Josephine Squires.
