ALBERT R. HOOKER
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Albert 'Richard' Hooker, 71, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at his home in Muscatine.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of, Tina Djumaev.

Albert was born January 1, 1950, in Paduka, Kentucky, the son of James Hooker and his wife, Alice C., and Stella Holmes. He married Alice J. Wheeler in 1968, in Muscatine.

Albert was an ordained minister. He loved to fish and play the guitar.

Albert will be deeply missed by his wife, Alice J. Hooker of Muscatine; his children, Bryan Wheeler and Tina (Hooker) Djumaev, both of Muscatine; three granddaughters, Monica (Hooker) Carter, Courtney Beesley, and Summer Wheeler; one grandson, Bryan Wheeler Jr.; three great grandsons, Landen Canarr, Leeland Canarr, and Lunden Beesley; seven sisters, Patricia (Hooker) Norris of Benton, Illinois, Wanda Hooker of Rock Island, Illinois, Catherine, Cheryl Hooker, Sharon Vargus and her husband, James, Lawanda Ramey and her husband, Jerry, and Mary (Hooker) Harvey; three brothers, James Ray, John, and Donald Hooker; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Hooker and his wife, Alice, and Stella Holmes; two brothers, Ralph Todd and James Yates; and one sister, Joyce Yates.
