In loving memory of

German Reyes
October 11, 1944 - March 27, 2021

German Reyes, formerly of the Hunting Park neighborhood of Philadelphia, died peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at his home in Ambler. He was 76 years old.

Mr. Reyes was born in Havana, Cuba, one of eight children of the late Luis PadrĂ³n and Urfelina (Garcia) Reyes. He fled from Cuba in the early sixties and found freedom here in America.

German was a Heating and Plumbing Contractor, the owner and operator of Habacolo in Philadelphia. A hard worker throughout his entire life, even in his retirement. He was always tinkering, repairing, and repurposing things, and was an expert at bartering for services. He would give of his time whenever there was someone in need. In his spare time, he loved fishing and hunting, watching movies, and playing on his iPad. He enjoyed his family and was a true jokester at heart. He kept everyone laughing throughout all of his medical issues and did not let it get him down. His strength is/was an inspiration to his family and friends.

German is survived by Ana (nee Baron), his beloved wife of 52 years. He is the devoted father of Sandra Honeycutt (Joe Honeycutt) of Ambler and German Reyes, Jr of Norristown; and the loving grandfather of Hudson, Sabrina, and Logan Honeycutt. German is the dear brother of Juana "Paca" Barrios, Lourdes Reyes, both of California, and Elisa Reyes of Florida. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Luis, Juan, Julian, and Luisa.

A Memorial Celebration of German's life will be held privately by the family.
