Nancy S. Griggs
October 24, 1942 - March 31, 2021

Nancy S. Griggs, 78, of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021. She was born October 24, 1942 in Astoria, NY, daughter of the late Henry and Bernice (Morey) Sievwright. Nancy was married to her husband of 56 years, Alan R. Griggs. They wed on June 12, 1965 in Astoria, NY and their reception was held at Tavern on the Green.

She worked for Stockade Vision in Kingston for over 25 years. Prior to Stockade Vision, she was a homemaker supporting her children and worked retail. She was a member of the Plattekill Reformed Church for over 50 years and served in multiple capacities. She served on the Ladies Guild of the church and helped with many fundraising events from their Roast Beef Dinner to their Penny Socials. She was also a member of the Mineola Chapter 716/Advance Chapter 58 of Order of the Eastern Star State of New York. She enjoyed throwing dinner parties, traveling, cruising with family and friends and watching her children and grandchildren pursue their dreams.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Alan Griggs of Kingston, NY, her children, Donald Griggs/Mary Ellen Callaghan Griggs of Somers, NY and Deborah Griggs/Jim Poesl of New City, NY. She adored her four grandchildren, Connor (14), Keira (11), James (9) and Jessica (6).

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Tuesday April 6, 2021 from 10am to 12pm. All are welcome to attend the funeral service which will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Plattekill Reformed Church, 622 Kings Highway, Saugerties, NY, 12466. Burial will follow in Mount Marion Cemetery.
