Robert 'Bob' Strong LENA, Illinois - Robert 'Bob' A. Strong, 67, Lena, died Saturday, October 1, 2005, at his home. Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005, at the Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at the funeral home. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial has been established. 'Bob' was born May 25, 1938, the son of Oidy and Berneice Kraft Strong. He worked for Civil Construction for 38 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club, Freeport Moose Lodge, Teamster's Local 325 and the Independent Order of Forresters. His special companion was Loretta. Survivors include three sons, Rob Strong and wife, Connie, of Muscatine, Douglas Strong and wife, Lori, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Brad Strong and wife, Angela, of Lena; a daughter, Amanda Rath and husband, Mike, of Wymore, Nebraska; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Hunter, Sydney and Taylar. He was preceded in death by his parents.
