In loving memory of

Lynette Stewart Hollingshead
December 3, 1965 - April 3, 2021

Lynette Stewart Hollingshead

On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Lynette Stewart Hollingshead, 55, passed away suddenly at her home in Brigham City, Utah due to complications from cancer. Born on December 3, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Daryl Martin and Nancy Ann Morrell Stewart, Lynette was a spitfire from her very first day. She went on to graduate from Box Elder High School in 1984, and continued her education at Weber State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in business. Following college, Lynette served an LDS mission to the Madrid Spain Mission. On November 19, 2005, Lynette married her sweetheart Jon W. Hollingshead in the Logan temple.

Being an incredible business woman and creative, Lynette was employed as a computer analyst at TQS in Roy, Utah while she simultaneously owned and operated the Hem Stitchery in Ogden, Utah. She loved taking her wares to craft fairs and using her skills to create--everything from tie dying to sandblasting to remodeling houses. Her hobbies included gardening, folk dancing, sewing, and carrying on the tradition of her mother's family: quilting. When she wasn't crafting or mastering the art of quilting, you could find her spending time with her loved ones. One of Lynette's most notable qualities was her ability to love and care for others. She always had time to listen, to talk, and to give advice. She made everyone feel like they were her favorite person. She was a mother to all she met, including her friends and their kids, her neighbors, and her nieces and nephews.

Lynette was a loving wife, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Jon; one brother, Travis (Yeonwha) Stewart; one sister, Darrylann Stewart; three nieces, Kylie Stewart, Denia Stewart, and Bradie Jill Jones; three nephews, Caden Stewart, Morgan Lopez, and Liam Lopez; and her best friends and their children who always counted Lynette as their "other mother." The family would like to thank the Utah Cancer Specialist for their outstanding care to Lynette.

"I hardly know what to say, Jon. Marie and I weren't free when her memorial services were held. How are you doing? We all pray for you and hope God's healing blessings will help you make the painful adjustments. I remember serving at Lincoln Elementary School during Lynette's work with the Ogden District BiIingual coordinator. She was so kind to the kids. She had so many talents. I bet she is continuing to minister to those in hard circumstances. Take good care of Jon."

"Lynette made a beautiful glass etched baking dish for me... many years ago. There has never been a single time when I've used it that I have thought about our friends, her sparkling love of life, and her appreciation of folk dancing. We shared institute memories, folk dancing connections and "Jon" ... oh how she loves Jon!! Jon, I m so deeply sorry for your loss.
