"It was May of 2009 when I embarked on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in Israel. I went not knowing many people but came home with friendships that will last a lifetime - my Israel Gang, as I lovingly refer to them. One of those friends was a true Angel on Earth. She was the type of person whose presence made all your worries fade, fears dispel, insecurities disappear, doubt become hope and sadness become pure laughter. Her name was Gracie Schumann and she was called Home by the Lord, on Easter Sunday, to rest forever among the Heavenly Angels. I'm sure there will be no "Angel in Training" required for her. I am quite sure she entered Heaven already adorned with her Angel wings while a choir of bells rang. Our circle of friends will never again be complete in this life, but we will all be reunited again. I have no doubt that Gracie's smiling face and giant wings will be there to greet us. I have lost many a friend and family but I have never really had my sadness overwhelmed by pure peace as I have when I heard of her passing. That is a testament to the incredible faith with which Gracie lived and shared with all who came in contact with her, even if only for a few minutes. I was Blessed to have been by her bedside reciting the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet while she patiently waited for her time here to end. She laughingly stated that she didn't know what was taking God so long but she trusted his timing and prayed with her Rosary in hand. I know she is where she belongs and where she wants to be. I have been so Blessed to have Gracie in my life. I've only known her for 12 of her almost 94 years but she made it seem as if we've been best friends forever. I could not be more grateful. My wish for all of you is to have a Gracie in your life. Rest in peace, my sweet Angel. Show them how it's done up there!"

"To know Grace was to love her. Grace was a woman who walked in her faith. A teacher to all who knew her. Her faith was an amazing thing to see and hear. Grace touched so many people in her 93 years here and made a difference in their lives. She was a humble woman who never spoke a mean word about anyone. She always saw the the best in you. Thank you Grace for the wonderful times we spent playing Scrabble for hours, cards or just talking. You were one of my dearest friends. I met a fantastic group of people through you, that I now call friends. You will always live on in our hearts and memories. Passes on but never forgotten. Rest In Peace. Love Linda."

"It has been my pleasure to have known Grace for over 20 years. Grace was one of my dearest friends and she has taught me some of the most important lessons in my life. I WILL MISS HER DEEPLY. She truly lived out her faith. She is the closest person to a saint that I have ever met; (she would not want to accept that compliment, but that is because she was humble too). I can only imagine that when she met our Lord, she said "I have been waiting for this day my whole life!!!""

"You will always be my Gracie and special gift from my Lord to me. Always looking up to the heavens and showing me the way to Jesus' heart. Always showing me how to be deserving of his love!! You were my friend, my sister in Christ, my mentor in faith and love for the unborn. We shared so many incredible "not of this earth" moments walking the path of our Lord in Israel. But whether we were walking the Via Delarosa, eating out at dinner, sitting in my car for hour chats, witnessing at the abortion clinic, marching on Washington or simply chatting for hours on the phone, each of those moments were so precious, so inspiring, so full of light, hope and love. I will never meet another like you and I will always remember everything you taught me about being GOD's child. In my heart forever. Never any endings, only amazing beginnings !! I love you!"

"Dear Gracie ~ forever in our hearts ~ help me everyday to mingle as you did during your wonderful life on earth. You did God's work and faithfully believed in Christ and now you are forever in the joy of Heaven. There were lots of tears but Father Carlos of St Barnabas gave you a glorious sendoff. God surrounded you by angels the last weeks of your life and I am glad you are with God and have left your suffering behind. Loving you forever my friend, Marian xo"
