He considered himself a gourmet cook, on a budget, utilizing an array of canned goods. He collected classic Rock and Roll CDs and albums. "Uncle Jim, we are going to miss you dearly! Thank you so much for the times we were able to spend together. I will miss the good conversation, laughs, and "educating oppurtunities" you so gratiously shared. Many, many precious hours at the card table, loved every minute of it! Lots of good times at the shooting range as well. I am so blessed to have grown up with you in my life. And I can speak for my family now as you were very special to my wife Hannah and our kids Ruby and Louis. You were another of the kids favorite "funny men" that we would see on our visits back to Antigo. Hannah always talked about some of the good conversations that you guys had. We always could depend on you bringing something interesting to the get together! We are going to miss that awesome "smirk" of a smile! Love you Uncle Jim, see ya soon!"
