Robert Smith, 54, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his residence in Marshalltown. Cremation rights have been accorded by Anderson Funeral Homes of Marshalltown. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.

Robert was born April 22, 1966 to Jim and Shirley Smith in Marshalltown. He went to Marshalltown Schools where he completed schooling before going on to work at JBS. Robert worked at JBS for the majority of his life. Robert was blessed with two children, Justin Smith and Andrea Tomlinson along with four grandchildren who he loved dearly. In Roberts free time he loved to fix things in the garage and around his house. He was explained to be quite the "grease monkey." Robert also loved to be outside whenever he could spending time with family and friends and most of all his grandchildren.

Robert will be missed by his two children; Justin Smith, Andrea Tomlinson, eight siblings; JoEllen (Brad) MacKenzie, Mary Wenning, Sheryl Willamon, Lisa (Michael) Tapia, Patty (Louis) Hoffert, Jimmy (Kathy) Smith, Rich (Cherry) Smith, Mark (Dee) Smith, and four grandchildren; Jasmine, Enrique, Jillissa, and Xavier. He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Smith.

"I recall a couple years ago when Robbie's license was reinstated, so he goes and takes the test and PASSED, that made a few of us nervous , and then he started driving, needless to say that didn't last long thank god . Robbie will be missed by many, but we all have the memories that we have to hold close to our hearts. REST IN PEACE ROBBIE."
