MUSCATINE, Iowa - Donald E. Fox, 82, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at his home.
A private family service will be held. Reverend Sharon Phillips will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Military services will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Muscatine City Inc. Pallbearers will be Danny Fox, Kenny Fox, Merle Fox, Caleb Christian, Hunter Fox, Dustin Ohlfest, Coty Zaehringer, and Kayden Fox. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
There will be a benefit held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the American Legion. There will be live music with many musicians and food. Memorials may be made in Donald's honor in care of, Merle Fox. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Donald was born on March 31, 1939, in Muscatine, the son of Walter Lee and Ruby Mae Leonard Fox. He married Yvonne Cooper on July 27, 1974, in Rock Island, Illinois.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Army and served for 10 years. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Donald enjoyed music, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and his cold beer. He enjoyed playing guitar with his family and played in many bands. Donald was taught to play guitar by his mother at the age of five.
Donald is survived by his wife, Yvonne Fox of Muscatine; his children, Larry Fox of Muscatine; Linda Fox of Maryland, Glenda Heuser and her husband, Peter, of Maryland, Marcy Crawford and her husband, Brian, of North Liberty, Angel Fox and her significant other, Jake Brown, of Oelwein, Merle Fox and his significant other, Shawna, of Lisbon, Danny Fox and his wife, June Coons, of Muscatine, and Kenny Fox of Muscatine and his fiancé, Katie Burford; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and his sisters, Norma Terrill, Sharon Martin and her husband, Phil, and Lois Pace and her husband, Ralph, all of Muscatine.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, James Mitchell and David Fox; one brother, Glen; and one sister, Francis.
