Jerome Jun Socheath
December 7, 2001 - April 16, 2021
On Friday, April 16, 2021, Jerome Jun Socheath, a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend passed away at age 19, at Sacred Hearts Hospital in Spokane, Washington with his family at his side.
Jerome also known as "Ching" or "Rome" was born on December 07, 2001 in Rochester, MN to Map Chan and Socheath Prum. He attended John Marshall from 2016-2019. Rome spent his free time with his friends who he treated like family. He loved playing sports, fishing, and gaming. He was known to have a kind heart and open arms and ears to friends as well as strangers.
Rome is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Huy Chan and Srun Prum.
Rome is survived by his mother and stepfather Map and Tha, father Socheath, grandmother Nhet, sister Chansoriya (Jay), uncles Horn, Hoeun (Nicole), Hen (Jolisa), and Heup (La), aunts Chrip (Vin), Tak, and Terra (Ryan), nephews Jonah and Terrence, nieces Aria and Abrianna, and several cousins.
Rome's wishes were to help save lives and become an organ donor back in December 2020. With this choice being made, his family honoured his wishes and he was able to save four lives. Long Live Rome.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 5:00 pm. - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery.
