Danny H. Craighton
September 30, 1955 - April 20, 2021

Danny Hugh Craighton, 65, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at his home in Hampton. He was born September 30, 1955, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Lyle Craighton Sr. and DeLores Newman.

Danny graduated from Hampton High School. He was the Franklin County Transit supervisor. Danny was an FFA alumni and was a member of the NRA and Hampton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and shooting guns. Danny played cribbage and was in numerous tournaments. He also enjoyed attending hockey games with his daughter. Danny visited with everyone; whether he knew them or not. He never met a stranger.

Danny is survived by his daughter Rebekah Grace Craighton of Hampton, daughter Cammy (Zane) Logan of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren Renzyn, Kaizyn and Lexzyn Logan of Amarillo, Texas; siblings Les (Shelly) Craighton of Hampton, Keith (Julie) Craighton of Urbandale, Janet (John) Bubacz of Schertz, Texas, and Robb (Stephanie) Craighton of San Antonio, Texas; mother Dody Moorehouse of Knoxville, Tennessee; father Lyle (Linda) Craighton Sr. of LaGrange, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Danny's family and mailed to PO Box 403, Hampton, Iowa 50441.
