Banner - Anna M. Wolf, 101, a longtime resident of the Banner/Glasford neighborhood passed away at 8:40 pm, April 21, 2021 at the Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton. Anna was born on September 17, 1919 in Brereton, Illinois to Anthony and Olga (Delak) Kauzlarich. Anna married Delbert Wolf on February 29, 1940 in Fort Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1996. Also preceding her in death were her parents, sisters; Rose McMeen and Margaret Wilson and brothers; Joe, Frank and Julian Kauzlarich. Surviving are two sisters; Francis Hartle and Berniece Young.
Ann's family would like to thank the Graham Hospital Extended Care Unit nursing staff for their wonderful care of Ann. Their compassionate care of Ann was outstanding.
Ann was a hard working farm lady her entire life. She was an excellent cook whose traditional Croatian Polenta and steak meals will be especially missed. Anna was truly one of those people who made an impression on the lives of all who came to know her.
Services will be 11 am, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorials can be made to either the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton or Graham Extended Care.

"Aunt Annie.. I always enjoyed visiting you.. And you made Cherry pie from your own Cherry tree.. I also loved your homemade pizza .. I will miss your smile and you always initiated me to want to learn how to be independent when i was younger.. I liked the stories you used to tell me about when you were growing up. We always went fishing with grandma Rose and harvested the corn to be froze and ate all year round... Tell grandma, Rick , Doug and my mom i love them and will see them when it's my turn to join you all... Amen"
"Ann... You were such good friend and companion for my mother after the death of my father in 1984. She loved the card games you two shared weekly for years. Said you were always a fierce competitor. Once during a visit to our house for Easter, she said, "Ann taught me a new card game we play, called Crap on your neighbor!" We all cracked up and proceed to learn how to play, "Crap on your neighbor." Fun time for all. I remember back in the 50's, you driving a big dual axle truck, hauling coal out of the strip mine at the Booth farm and seeing you along the road at your farm on a tractor. You were truly the definition of hard work in an honorable profession. We needed more Ann Wolf's in the world. Hope the first thing you and mom did on meeting again was get out those card decks. Maybe a quick game of "Crap on your neighbor?" Gary Hebb"
