Scranton, 71, of Viola, Ill., and formerly of Aledo and New Boston, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Lutheran Homes of acute leukemia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Janet Scranton Memorial Fund. She was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Peoria, Ill., to Morgan amp; Leona Mildred Bonynge Clymore. She was previously married to Marvin Scranton on June 8, 1957. Janet was a graduate of Aledo High School. She enjoyed working in the restaurant business and worked for several country clubs including Oak View Country Club in Aledo. Survivors include an aunt, Nancy Bonynge of Aledo; special cousins, Larry and Alda Mier of Illinois City, Ill. and cousins, Mike and Shirley Bonynge, Susie and Bob Watson, Beth and Mike Bowns, Tom and Zelda Oblinger, Carol Oblinger and Bobby and Pat Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and aunts and uncles: Henry and Peg Bonynge Johnson, Elwin and Irene Bonynge Mier; Bill and Ann Bonynge Oblinger and Tom Bonynge.
