Douglas Stuart McNair
August 19, 1965 - April 21, 2021
Grosse Pointe Farms resident Douglas Stuart McNair passed away April 21 after a courageous three year battle with pancreatic cancer.
He is survived by his parents, Rosemary and Russell A. McNair Jr, sister Julie Schwerin (Mike), brother Russell McNair III (Jennifer), seven nieces and nephews, Monica Tessler (Peter), Natalie Roth (Chris), Mac Schwerin (Meredith), Peter Schwerin, Eloise McNair, Charlotte McNair, Webber McNair, and six great nieces and nephews.
Doug grew up in Grosse Pointe and attended Grosse Pointe South High School. He then went on to graduate from Vanderbilt University and received an MBA at Michigan State University.
He worked for Chase Bank as a vice president, a Chief Operating Office for a small medical supply company, and COO at Precision Extraction Solutions until his illness.
Doug loved playing gold and played in Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill pro-am with Zach Johnson. He was a very kind and caring friend who loved spending time at his cottage in Harbor Beach. He will be greatly missed.
