In loving memory of

Ruth M. Anderson
April 24, 1922 - April 23, 2021

Ruth Mary Anderson, of Salisbury, MD, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 23, 2021. She was one day shy of her 99th birthday.

Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Gertrude (Robson) Griffiths.

Ruth will be remembered as a humble woman of faith who dearly loved her family. She enjoyed travel, working on ancestry and many hobbies over the years including quilting, stained glass, caning chairs and making jewelry, to name a few. Up until her last days she enjoyed playing a competitive game of Scrabble or watching a good Hallmark movie. But, most of all, she delighted in sharing her varied life experiences with her loved ones and cherished being a part of their lives. Her curiosity, wit, wisdom and faith will live on in the legacy she leaves for the generations that follow.

Mrs. Anderson attended Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene in Salisbury, MD for the past 10 years.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, James Walter Anderson, Jr. in 2010. She is the loving mother of James D. Anderson (Carol) of Fort Washington, PA; Joan R. Gangwer (the late Jerome) of Ambler, PA; John D. Anderson (Sharon) of St. Louis, MO; Janice A. Beall (George Henry) of Southampton, PA; and Jeffrey W. Anderson (Pamela) of Salisbury, MD. She is the dear grandmother of 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Sheltering Wings https://www.sheltering-wings.org/ or Covenant Mercies https://covenantmercies.org/ two organizations that Ruth passionately supported, would be appreciated.
