"To Lori and Missy, Your Mom was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I remember being over at your house as kids and she really seemed to enjoy having me there. She was kind, and a fixture with both Rainbow and church for me. I have nothing but fond memories of her, and both of youas well. May she rest in everlasting peace. My condolences, Monique Walker "

"I am so sorry to hear about your mom, she was so special, kind ,caring, thoughtful, I could go on and on and on!! i am so sorry to hear about your mom. she was so special and always kind, thoughtful and caring. She would always have time to talk and make me feel better. My mom said, "There are worse things than death and don't wish me back to go through this all over again." it is hard to not be selfish but she was right. it doesn't matter how old we are it is a terrible loss. I bet the reunion in heaven was wonderful. My prayers are with you. God bless you! "

"we are sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She was always a kind and gentle person with a smile on her face. Always interested in what each family was doing and where they were in life, even attending an event at the Iowa History Museum in August of 2019 where our son. Don Hall, was being honored. One of Donnie's earliest memories of Shirley was when she was dating Ted and they would come out to the farm and how cool he thought she was...in addition to Ted's 1956 Ford! Our prayers and Sympathy to you Lori & Missy. Don & Jan Hall "

"Aunt Shirley was the sweetest person I have ever known. Serene and filled with grace, her support of family and loved ones had no bounds. My father Larry grew up under her watchful and protective presence, and she remained vigilant and dedicated to her family her entire life. She was and is a truly wonderful person who made the world a better place for us all. Mark Stanley "
