"I became a good friend of Jims in high school and we remained friends. We used to see each other on the bike path and would chat. I know he was a Christian and he is in a good place now. God bless him. Ken Brase"

"I will miss Jim a lot. Even though I hadn't seen him but a few times since he retired, it was always a treat to run into him. He was a real friend to the preschoolers and other students at La Escuelita Tutoring Center and Preschool. He was great at fixing the things they played with too hard and they loved him. He was a real friend to me, too. Jim was the kind of guy who paid close attention to what you liked, then would surprise you with it--sometimes on a regular basis. He kept my mailbox supplied with dark chocolate!! He did this with many of the people at Wesley he worked with. This part of the world is a little less bright now with the loss of Jim. Rest in piece, friend--and sing "Happy Birthday" to your heart's content!"
