"Count me among the many for whom your beloved mother/grandmother/etc. was a comforting, warm-hearted presence and sorely missed. I was only at Vogel/CRI for 7.5 years, but she quickly became one of my favorite people there and made many of my trying days better just by her reassuring, sweet presence. I was happy to lend her a hand here and there, and although I am a long-liberated woman, it gave me joy to bring her a hot cup of coffee. Not that she ever expected me to. Thank you so much for including so many people online at today's service. I am sure many more of us from Vogel would have turned out to offer comfort in person under better circumstances. I also hope it's not presumptuous of me to speak for Carolyn's old boss Howard, who I know valued her highly as a trusted colleague and friend. Sending warm, healing thoughts and deep condolences as you suffer this huge loss to your family. Also hoping your loving memories will mitigate the hurt over time and replace it with something better."
