ROBERT (BOB) FENSKE, 88, of Rochester, died Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, from a heart attack.
Bob was born in Rochester on December 7, 1932, to Farrell and Esther Fenske. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1950 and proudly served in the Air Force from 1951-1955. He married Virginia Boedeker on June 24, 1956 in Rochester.
Bob had a varied work career as a fire fighter, drafter, engineer, salesperson, and manager. He loved to travel and meet other people. His lifelong passion was making model planes, ships and cars and flying model airplanes. He also loved collecting scale model planes, trains and cars, and toys. He shared those interests with many cherished friends.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Pat (Rory) Lundeen; brother, Dave (Sandy) Fenske; 2 grandchildren, a great-grandson, and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ginny, son, Craig, and his parents.
A brief graveside ceremony will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens, 1300 Marion Road SE, Rochester, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 with military honors. No memorials or flowers requested.
