In loving memory of

Cynthia "Cindy" Williams
July 26, 1953 - May 14, 2021

Cynthia K. Williams, age 67, of Rochester, MN passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home in Rochester. Cindy was born July 26, 1953 to Donald and Laurel (Hendrickson) Hoffland in Viroqua, WI.

Cindy grew up in Wisconsin and as a teenager moved with her family to Denver. After graduating and working in the Denver area, she moved to southern California and quickly rose up the ranks in corporate administrative positions with Johnson and Higgins, ultimately becoming a VP over her department in charge of opening many offices throughout the U.S. for Coldwell Banker. Cindy felt a call to leave the busy and lucrative 'corporate life' and in 1993 enrolled in Chiropractic college. Shortly thereafter, she left California and returned to Wisconsin to help her mother care for her ailing stepfather. She re-enrolled in Chiropractic college at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, graduating with honors in the Spring of 1996. Cindy found her way to Rochester, completing a clinical internship, which is where she and Boyd met, becoming friends and eventually falling in love. They were married on February 26, 1998. Cindy joined Boyd's chiropractic practice where they worked together.

In 2000, 2001, and 2008, the couple adopted three infant sons; Isaac, Levi, and Michael. Together they also raised and cherished Boyd's older children, Taylor and Olivia. Cindy and Boyd were very active in several churches and ministries in Rochester and the Twin Cities. Together they taught and led many small groups, worked in leadership roles, performed varies pastoral care duties and loved supporting and teaching the youth. Cindy was particularly fond and anointed in mentoring young women in the church and at the clinic.

Boyd and Cindy shared many common interests and hobbies. They maintained a weekly 'date night', watching movies and going out to eat. Together they loved to travel, especially to warm, sunny ocean beaches. Their favorite times together were the simple pleasures- sitting, talking, holding hands, and finishing each other's sentences. Cindy was a marvelous story teller. She loved to read, joined always by her adored Morkie "Pepper."

Cindy was loved by her five children, while being adored and esteemed by her husband. She loved her family, her friends, and pets. Most of all, she loved Jesus.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and eldest brother, John. Along with her husband Boyd and their children, she also has two surviving brothers, Tom (Carmen) Hoffland and Jim (Judy) Hoffland .

Funeral service will be at 5pm, Friday, May 21st 2021 at High Point Church (4545 N Frontage Rd, Rochester, MN) with Pastor Shaun Gustafson and Pastor Tim Burt officiating. "Dear Dr Boyd and family. I know this is a sad time for all of you, but it's also a happy time. Knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior. She is no longer suffering and now she can watch over you. I remember the first time I met her. She took my x-rays and whatever else needed to complete my first exam. She made me feel so comfortable and became a wonderful friend. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We (Larry and I), pray that God will help you through this difficult time. Dr. Boyd, you and Cindy are caring people. I appreciated the prayers and support you gave me through my health issues. Sending prayers for Cindy's family. God Bless! Larry and Brenda Holst"
