Judith Sylvia LaFave, 99, of Rochester, MN died on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester.
Judith was born on December 29, 1921 in Thief River Falls, MN to Helmer and Clara (Gorder) Halland. In 1939 she graduated from high school in Thief Rivers Falls, MN. She attended a business program in MN.
On December 18, 1943 in Oxon Hill, MD Judith married James LaFave. The couple lived in Berkley, CA, Thief River Falls, MN and moved to Rochester, MN in 1953. She worked as a secretary for Minnesota state highway department.
Judith enjoyed playing bridge, traveling; including a Europe tour, reading, sitting outside to enjoy her flowers and taking road trips with her husband James.
Judith is survived by two daughters, Jody (Paul) Metcalf of Mountain Lake, MN and Becky (Rick) Cordie of Oronoco, MN; daughter-in-law, Julie LaFave Everly of Zumbrota, MN; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Lafave, her parents; one son, John; one grandson, Zachary, two sisters and one brother.
No public services will be held at this time. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
