In loving memory of

Gary L. Dann
May 13, 2021

Gary L. Dann, on May 13, 2021 after a high risk surgical procedure, of Cherry Hill, formerly of Shaker Heights, Ohio. Age 29...as he would insist.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Carol (nee Collis). Father of Alison Dann and Mark Dann (Sultan Shakir). Brother of Victor Dann (the late Jaclyn). Uncle of Jillian Dann Macerollo (Paul) and Gabrielle Dann, and great uncle of Dylan Macerollo. Predeceased by his cute grandcat, Mojo.

Gary was a graduate of The Ohio State University where he belonged to Phi Sigma Delta. He was also in the Army Reserves while he became a successful insurance and financial planner, and later founded Concorde Financial. He was a current season ticket holder of the Philadelphia Eagles and previously of the Cleveland Browns. GD was an avid tennis player who studied Spanish, visited Civil War sites, collected and sent innumerable email jokes, and sun worshipped on the beach. As an active tutor and volunteer with Hopeworks Camden and the Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council (IHOC), he enjoyed seeing others become independent and live their lives on their own terms.

The family will have a memorial celebration on Tuesday, May 18, at 2:30pm, at the Haddon Field outdoor pavilion (10 Elm St Haddonfield, NJ, https://www.haddonfieldclub.org) with food and choice beverages. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopeworks Camden (https://hopeworks.org/donate/) or to the Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council, IHOC (http://www.interfaithhomelessoutreachcouncilsj.org). Or you could have a "martin" during cocktail hour in his honor. Cheers!

For those who are unable to join us in person, we invite you join the celebration virtually! The program will begin at 3pm. Please feel free to join early to test your internet connection and to connect with other loving friends and family before the program begins.
