Jerry Slater Jr. Graveside services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today, Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Jerry L. Slater Jr., 44, Moscow, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Slater was born Nov. 30, 1961, in Waterloo. He was employed at the HON Geneva Plant. He was a member of the North American Fishing Club. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Hawkeyes, Vikings and NASCAR fan. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. Survivors include a sister, Debra Slater of Waterloo; a brother, Joel Slater of Montana; two stepsons, Paul Murray and wife Nicole of Tipton and Brady Murray and fiancée Angie Craven of Nebraska; 10 grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Papach in 1999.
