SPRINGFIELD, Missouri - Theresa F. Zaehringer, 87, formerly of Letts, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 13, 2021, on ascension day, at her home.
A private service will be held. Reverend Mike Bales will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim McLoughlin, Dustin Zaehringer, Brian Dobony, Joel Dobony, Joey Herlein, and Jacob J. Bernhardt.

Theresa was born on November 28, 1933, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Joe and Florence Guzinski Zmuda. She married Ralph Dewayne Zaehringer on November 3, 1956, in Buffalo, New York.
She lived for her children and grandchildren who were the joys of her life. She loved the Lord and going to church with her daughters. Theresa had a very contagious laugh. She enjoyed cleaning, cooking, canning, and crocheting afghans, potholders, scarfs, and hats.
Theresa is survived by her six children, Susan Dobony and her husband, Mike, of Springfield, Missouri, David D. Zaehringer and (Vicki Dusenberry), Darrell G. Zaehringer and his wife, Cindy, Terry Herlein and her husband, Kenneth, all of Muscatine, Iowa, Sheila Bernhardt and her husband, Jake, of Fountain City, Wisconsin, and Rick Zaehringer of Letts, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Bishop of Buffalo, New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; and three siblings, Lorretta, Irene, and Joseph.
