BLUE GRASS, Iowa - Leonard Gregory Lance, 68, of Blue Grass, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the University of Iowa.

Leonard was born on October 25, 1952, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the son of Leonard Lance and Audrey Berberich. He married Rita Puntieri on July 15, 1972.
Leonard was a harness horseman for many years. He raced horses, worked at a boat marina, and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and leatherworking.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Rita Lance of Bluegrass; his sons, Kevin Lance and wife, Paula, of New Boston, Illinois, and Jason Lance and wife, Sue, of Davenport; six grandchildren; and three siblings, Janice Lance of Belmont, Illinois, Doug Lance and wife, Mona, of Henderson, Kentucky, and Gary Lance of Belmont, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
