Carla Rae Henkensiefken was the mother to three beautiful girls, whom she loved and adored: Brit, Sara and Abbi. She raised them to be smart, strong, caring and independent women.
Carla lived a simple, beautiful life and loved it fully. She was an old soul and valued nostalgic memories of her family. Her wicked sense of humor and infectious laugh has been swelling our hearts since the day she came into this world. She had a caring heart and she was sincere in making everyone feel accepted due to her compassion for people and acceptance of their differences. When she hugged you, it was a real hug!
Carla's connection with animals and plants of all sorts brought her joy and she valued her friends and the decades of memories that they all shared together. They will miss her dearly.
Her presence, smile and style was all her own and will be forever cherished. We are counting the days until we meet again, sweet Carla!
Carla would want us to go forward and not mourn death; but celebrate life!
Carla Rae Henkensiefken was born in Waseca, MN on September 21, 1965.
She passed away peacefully May 15, 2021, after a strong and brave battle with cancer.
Carla is survived by her three daughters, Brittany (Josh) Quillen, Sara Henkensiefken and Abbi Barbknecht; parents Larry and Colleen Henkensiefken, siblings Sandy Nelson, Kim Harty, Jeremy (Jocelyn) Henkensiefken, 5 nieces and 1 nephew.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, June 13th at Courthouse Park in Waseca,
from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. We ask you to bring your own chairs.
