Barbara A. McAleer
November 9, 1936 - May 22, 2021

Barbara Townsend McAleer, of Maple Glen, passed away on Saturday May 22, 2021 at the age of 84.

Born in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Hilda Townsend.

Beloved wife to Dr. Donald McGuigan for 5 years. They resided at Gwynedd Estates in Springhouse. Her first husband, Frank McAleer, predeceased her in 2013. They were married for 52 years.

Barbara was an active parishioner at St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen. She is survived by her three children Brian McAleer and his wife Carlene of Horsham, PA, Michelle Dobson and her husband Robert of Carlsbad, CA, and Sue Devlin and her husband John of Alameda, CA. Barbara was a loving grandmother to Samantha, Kerri, Craig, Brianna, Caila and Morgan and great grandchild Grant.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Dr. Maple Glen, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Charles F. Kreig, CM as Celebrant. Interment will be private.
