"Aunt Katie's home was the place I stayed and felt welcome. When growing up, the Bill Noll family visited the Iowa Nolls on our annual summer vacation. Aunt Katie, Uncle Bob, cousins Judy, Mary Francis, and Sheila were always fun to visit. Aunt Katie was my Godmother, too. I feel that she prayed for me and the rest of the family. I admired her spunk and her style."

"Judy, Mary, Sheila and families, I was so sad to learn of your mom's death....We just returned from AZ and my mother told me about it today. I read your Mom's obituary in the Journal and it was beautiful. Losing a parent is a hallmark event in a life, and I want you to know I send love and sympathy to each of you. your Mom was a wonderful person and I enjoyed my visits with her. I'll always remember the time she bandaged my wounds after a spill on my bike - still have the scars to remind me of that day! She was so kind. Love, Kathleen"
